shrimp?

I bought about 20 ghost shrimp to try it out. 2 Months later I could account for 7 or 8 shrimp. I had them in a 75G and LOTS of hiding places (mainly for my P's, but they loved it too). I could see them come out from hiding when I dropped flakes in there for them. I dropped the shrimp in when my P's had fat bellies, so they didn't both trying to get them on the way down.

Letoastaire, Mine would always eat all the feeders withing 24 hours, usually over night. Every now and then there would be a small one, or a fast one that would pull through for 2-3 days. Eventually they all get eaten. I managed to keep one alive for over a week by keeping them fat with frozen shrimp.

The only success I have had other than ghost shrimp is Zebra danios. After about 20 I would say 10-15 survived and lived at the top of the tank. The slowest 5 were eaten. The 15 got so fast it was difficult to catch them with a net. They have been living in the tank with the P's for about 5 months. Every month or so I lost 2 or 3 and replace them. They seemed more aggressive than the P's, and would attack the feeders (2-3 times their size) when I put them in. They also attacked the P's frozen food.

I have 4 ghost shrimp in my piranha tank right now. They've lasted over 6 months now. Im guessing because they are so small and hard to see that my piranhas don't really care for them.
Just a guess.
