i think he's being outcompeted. i have him in the 10 right now and he'll be feasting to his little heart's content. i wish his "brother" was still around. anybody have a spare del to sell me?

Come up to LA this weekend and I'll sell you a 9" delhezi for $30.

From my experience my delhezis grow really fast then slow down when they reach 9".

my delhezis seem to be growing quite slowly.
i bought the first at 1.5 inches in last november?or october?
not sure.
but hes still 4 inches now.
he doesnt eat as much as the other bichirs though..

I don't have any dels (though I really want one), but foods I've found that fattened up my polys are beefheart (not the messy cubes, bought the whole heart at grocery store and chopped it), bait shrimp, red wigglers, krill, and silversides. I also feed shrimp pellets and foods of the like, but there are also many ca/sa cichlids in the tank that beat them to those.

try feeding with frozen shrimp, chopped to bite size pieces that your del can handle, and marinate it with some vitamin supplements like angel drops. let it absorb, then feed it. this really fattened and put some length on my seng bichir. i think i saw a thread on this, same thing and he also added garlic extract for increase appetite. i think i saw it in the fish health area or DIY. i forgot where, sorry hehe
