anybody else go mushroom hunting? season is almost over sadly. might be able to go back out. I have others soaking in the fridge and fryd up some more

I was watching the food channel i think and people went mushroom hunting. They said a pound of rare mushrooms can fetch close to a thousand dollars.

Nice haul! I love hunting mushrooms. We didn't do very well with Morels this year, but around here this is just the beginning. Chanterelles in the late summer and Hedgehogs in the fall, plus all the oddballs!

I love mushroom hunting, I am still about a month away from the first snow mushrooms, but as soon as the snow starts to recede we will be up in the mountains shroom huntin all summer long

Mmmm...I love morels! I'm not sure they have them anywhere in IL though so I don't hunt for them. Last time I had them was years ago when I lived in Arkansas. Makes my mouth water just looking at that pic.
