Hello, I have two FX5's filtering my 120 aquarium. Some of the fish only accept bloodworms right now, which are easily sucked up by the filters. Is it bad to turn the FX5's off and then on again during feeding?

I wouldnt think its a bad thing to turn it off but it seems a bit over the top, also having two fx5s on a 120 is in my opinion a bit over the top too, what kind of fish are you keeping?

Wow talk about filter overkill lol. I'm looking for just one for my 150 at a decent price. It would be fine I've done it would be just like doing a big water change

Yeah, its a bit over the top, but it was originally on a larger tank that leaked. Its a 120 fatboy stocked with 2 motoros, 1 leiarius pictus, 5 indo dats, 1 fire eel, 2 peacock eels, and 8 angelfish.

No, it's fine to turn on and off your FX5. Just remember that every time you do it 24hrs from that time it will shut off again for it's 1 minute purge.

Yep, that scared me the first time, i thought it broke when it was doing its first purge:nilly: Thanks for the info, just want to make sure that turning it on and off everyday doesnt mess it up.

I just turn the flow rate down on both my fx5's when my 180gal was running.
