My silver arowana, 10 inch, is with me for 3 months. All parameters correct. Tankmates- 2 pleco, 2 small parrots, one 3 inch silver arowana. All others are ok including the small arowana. The large one, 10 inch, still in a corner at water surface. Swim around some time and when seeing me go to the corner as fast. Any solutions plz

My tank is 350 gallon tank

Maybe try approaching aquarium at a slower pace, spend more time at the aquarium until larger Aro gets comfortable around you, or try adding floating plants temporarily.

I had already some plants along with some floating one. The small arowana and my parrots destroyed all, making the water messy

K, thank you for your help. One more thing. Iam going to give the small one to my sister. Want another aro with the big one. Not silver. Any suggestions

It will be a test because either the new Aro or the larger one may quarrel among each other but it may be a good thing making the Aro more active.

Silver arowana definitely are best off alone unless you put them in a huge tank. At 10" they tend to be quite skittish. Larger aros generally calm down and get used to you if kept in a large enough tank. In my experience, larger tank=calmer, tamer arowana.

Try a routine. Lights on a timer. Approach the tank at approximately the same time of day for feeding. It should get used to you and when you feed the tank.
