My arowana was hand fed three hours after i bought him, he was 5" long at the time. Try feeding him some earth worms, cause it worked for me, he spits out food maybe cause he dislikes it or something.
we have the same problem right now we just got a silver arowana and it won't eat very much it will only eat crickets when we have left the room and freaks out whenever we feed it or even come into the room
