Has anyone here ever attempted to keep a Siamese algae eater with a juvenile Oscar? If so, how did the experiment progress? Were the SAE and Oscar able to co-exist peacefully with one another? Or did the latter end up devouring the former? Just curious, thanks.

Siamese algae eater has no chance to coexist with large cichlid. I used to throw in a few large Siamese in my CA tank in the hope that they will help remove the beard algae no plecos will touch, but one by one they got eaten. My cichlid don't bother bristlenose pleco though as they hide in day light and graze at night. Siamese are active and graze in day light and look and behave like feeder livebearers to cichlid.
