I say its going to be a NTT. Do you know where he is getting it from? I havent seen many small IT's for sale in LFS's but NTT have came in recently. Also how many of these siamese tiger dats are available? Dats are moderate difficulty. They are very hardy but many people have trouble trying to get them off live foods and they do require frequent water changes and larger tanks.

if its 4 inch it wont be a ST thats for sure

if it 10inch + it maybe ST but any smaller probably IT or NTT
