Sick EBJD

Well actually, I gave it a salt dip 4tbs in 5 gallons of H2O, for about 10 min, no signs of stress, nothing to alarm. When I moved it back into the hospital tank his eye started bleeding, he turned black all over and was dead within the hour. I don't have a clue what went wrong. Down to 1 now.
Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. What kind of salt did you use? Regular aquarium will cause the rentention of fulid and Epsome salt causes the release of fulid. If you used regular salt, the only thing I can think of would be osmotoc shock the bursting of cell membrains caused by the difference between internal and external pressure. If an infection ruptured it could have spred toxins rapidly through the body. Of course I'm only theorizing this as a possable cause.
I hear ya bud, sorry, there may have been somthing else going on, popeye is really just a symptom of some type of internal infection. Looseing fish is never good.
