Sounds like progress. What are its tank mates?

A little. But still not good. Tankmates is flagtail. electric blue jack Dempsey. Oscar. Parrot fish. Arowana. Silver dollar. Tiretrack eel and cory catfish. I have had him for a year now where he have done good and grown a lot.

Fire eels like a ph of around 6 to a max of 7. The temp should not stay above 82 for long. They like quiet con specifics and fine sand for a substrate. They are scales fish so they scratch easily and develop fungus. Do not put much salt in as these guys do not like it. They are not active during the day but at night they can get a bit more active.

Ok a lower the twmp to 80. And do another 50 % water change and don't put any salt in. Will that be good ? Mine is normal active on and off during the day. There is pool sand in the tank
