I put my endi from a 10 gallon quarinte that he was in for 2 weeks into a 120 to grow up a bit, over night I noticed he was getting some fin rot so I put a dose of melifix in the tank, the next day it was horrible and I moved it back to the 10 gallon and it has only gotten much worse. He does not wiggle his tail anymore it's like the back half of his body is dead any treatments would be great because I am clueless on what to do.

He's taking deep breaths and when he tried swimming away he only would bend about 3/4 the way up to his head

Look like he got attack, what other fish in the 120g?
It dont look like its fin rot, someone try to shread him apart, poor little thing.

Theirs a 13 inch oscar and 11 inch jaguar but they won't even touch feeder fish, if they went after it his head woulda been ripped off at the least, I got a 3 inch Raphael catfish and 6 inch Asian redtail in the same tank, my 9 inch featherfin is just too stupid to attack it lol and my 8 inch Jack Dempsey hides in a plant all day and still eats flakes lol, other than that I got an 18 inch common pleco in there. I have 2 good sized caves in there for them as well that only the Raphael, Asian redtail, and endli are small enough to access, the endli only left it once and I watched the whole time and my oscar and jaguar showed no interest in him.

I'll be the first one to say it. It's a live and learn situation. Too trusting of those big fishes. That's trauma near the endli tail. 100% Certainty. Clean water and salt to start first, and monitor.

Please don't take this the wrong way, and think it's a criticism. Once again, live and learn.

Many years ago I use to be pretty trusting. I once thought I had the superpowers to create an environment for a 5 " green terror cichlid to not eat my neon tetras. :-) :-). Sadly, It did not work.

The endli should of grew out in the 10 gallon a little bit longer. It doesn't take long. A few months or so is all. Hope this endli pulls through. Good luck!

Looking at the last pic. The body of the endli has some blood, not sure if its internal bleeding but surely its a sign that it was attack. Most likely during lights are off.
