Sick fish need help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It was most likely the other fish. Leave it in the Qt with some bacterial and fungal meds, salt, and the heat cranked up a little bit. Monitor his progress over the next few days

at least 4 of those fish have a habit of tank mate assault.

as all others suggested, salt, heat, and a good med, no melafix or pimafix.

Live and learn, those other fish are too aggressive to attempt co-habs with smaller tank mates like this.

Yeah what they all said. I know the asian red tail catfish are very aggressive, and will get more and more aggressive with age. Many people keep them solo in a tank because they are notorious for killing tank mates even when they don't plan on eating them, so you're probably going to have some problems with them, if they aren't already the cause of this one...

good luck with your endli. I'd definitely separate him and keep him separated. Very clean water, very frequent water changes and salt

I had an Asian red tail cat, looks like that's what did it imo. I remember how the fish looked after the night with him due to my ignorance. Get rid of him. He'll fighht with everyone till he's big enough to take them out. Your smaller fish will be killed sooner, the cichlids, I'd say once he's 12"+ he'll take them out as well. He would've killed a lot of fish if I left them with him for a second night. Had a large pim blochii about a foot, he killed the night of. It was late I remember waking up to the splashing and the pim rear end was mostly gone, wasn't much I could do by then.
