Sick fish URGENT ADVISE NEEDED.... PLEASE HELP ME MFKs.

I really don't know how my fish got sick.... definitely is not from my water because I have one FX5 and a 55gal sum plus an eco plants filter system on top of my tank to help me to break down the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

Fish don't always need a reason to get ich... a new tank can do it. Use heat and salt and you should be fine.

You are going to have your hands full with discus. I started with a fully cycled hi tech planted tank and did 3 75% wc's a week and still had trouble after introducing them. Discus are very prone to everything. Watch out for cloudy eyes, bacterial infections and internal parasites. Cloudy eyes can be a first sign of trouble. You are going to HAVE to do 3-5 wc's a week with juvie discus or you could in theory have stunting but your tank is big but is still a possibility. Your ph is high for them as well. Im sure they will be ok because they are not wild caught but you never know with them. When I have used the heat treatment I have not used salt and had luck every time. If you havnt been on simplydiscus.com yet go there. The community is top notch and they are there to help you when you will need it. Even the guys who know exactly what they are doing have trouble with these fishies.Good luck
