sick fish

He had ich bad .I add salt 3tbs per gl for a week now he is starting to eat again but is still scraping himself on stuff in the tank.I have done a 70% water change every day for a week.I have been using Melafix for the last 3 days and he has started to eat well again

Give it another week I think. If it doesn't improve, give the fish 3-5 days break and do water changes until salt is completely removed and switch to formalin-based meds.
 
You having some temperature problems or somthing lately? It seems you are battling sickness on a couple of threads.
 
No it all started when I got a new fish from a friend.I didn't quarantine it.I had put him in with this guy first in a divided 120gl.And after a few day is when I put him in the other tank.Very frustrating.I have not had this much trouble in the last 15 yrs or more.All the others are fine now.I did not notice this guy was sick for quite awhile because I had put him in a 29gl one the bottom of a 3 tank stand with no light.It wasn't tell he quit eating that I put a light on him and seen he was sick.He is back to eating and look better this morning.I was just worried since I have $200 in him.
 
I thought maybe you had a heater failure and your temp dropped quite a bit, stressing your fish. Bad weather lately.

Good luck on getting it straightened out.
