Ok, I was about to feed one of my P.Senagalus 2 nights ago and I noticed she already had a very large belly bump. So, I sat there confused for a spell and she starts vomiting. She kept throwing up till the belly bump was all gone. It looked alot like the pellets I feed her the day before but alot more. I didn't feed her that night and did a 30% water change the next day. She seems fine now. I was just wondering if anyone knows what that was all about?

I don't know if I should move this to the health forum or leave it here. I will leave it for now because the bichir keepers read this forum but if you don't get a response fairly soon I will move it, I have had other types of fish just eat to much then woof. You might want to make sure that the tank temp is still set right. If it got turned down to far digestion sometimes turns into fermentation instead but it sounds like it just ate to much.

THe temp is set in the high 70's about 76F. She is the largest one I have at 9''. I also have 3 others. A male at about 6 1/2'' in another tank and 2 new ones in yet another tank at 1 1/2''. I feed her 4 to 6 pellets every other day and she tends to steal an alge wafer from the plec too.
