Looks like thickening of the mucus layer.

H emay have scraped his head.

Add some tonic salt and do a waterchange.

Then obserb for the next few days.

He should be fine. Piranha have a very fast metabolisum.

I think he may have had this for a month or more.. due to his shelter i was unable to notice, he's rather skittish at times.
here's the best shot i've been able to get this far.

You can see it above and below the HITH scarring. I would say it's almost like a superfine dust but at the same time it possibly looks like discoloration. but I know he's been flashing for a while.

From the looks of that list and what matched it looks like methylene blue is the way to go. (malachite green is like poison but is suggested for most matches.)
It's a pain though.. don't wanna stain the tank, so i have to lure him into a bucket then transfer to the rubbermaid, he destroys nets and hates oxygen. lol

Chillin in the 24 gal with 48 drops of MB.
Gonna move him back in a week, next thurs...
any ideas of things i should do to the tank while the predator is away?
