absolutly do not do 100% and both your filters... you are killing all the benificial bacteria each time you do... which will end up killing any fish you keep in there.

Like turkey said, dont do a 100% changes mate. Do 25-35% weekly or twice a week will be alot kinder on the fish you need some waste for the benefical bacteria. Also if you take all the water out the water your putting back in will be to cold and depending on where abouts you live your ph might be out

i change 2/3 of my filters at a time. I have been for the past 2 years.

I put water back in at the same temp as the tank. pH would be my biggest concern with this last situation.

Clean the filter? Who cleans their filter? Hehe, love my filter socks/sump. Takes all the work out of it.

I do around 70% water changes a week. Seems to work well for me.
