It seems pretty bad but I'll add it. Is there anything I should do to my big tank to get rid of the fin rot bacteria?

Do a water change, vacuum the gravel really good like its a carpet that has gum stuck to it, and add aquarium salt to get rid most or all of the pathogens. Are you still thinking of quarantine the baby cuz the bacteria can still infect your fish in some time

He already in his own tank and I added a little bit of salt and some melafix. But about the vacuuming I have sand instead of gravel so what would I do?

Well I vacuumed it my tank is spotless now. I also have a UV sterilizer would that help any?

It's not on I just wanted to know if it would help and I'm also only talking about putting it on my big tank the arowana is in his own I only put the mealfix in that one

its okay to put the arowana back with you eel and gar when it is around 10 inches
