My threadfin has something wrong with his eye. I am not sure if it is a parasite or not. When I first noticed it, it was just a thin little white half moon at the top, it has slowly progressed and it looks like it will soon affect his whole eye.

He also has some sort of white thing (I can't really see what is going on there) at the top of the base of his right pectoral fin. And now I'm seeing a light spot on his tail that wasn't there before.

Tank is 90 gallons, temp is about 78, I did add about 18 TBSP of salt on June 9th to see if it would help, it hasn't. Water parameters are routinely (haven't checked recently) 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and nitrates get around 15-20 before a water change. Ph is low, it goes between 6 and 6.5, I believe this is from the wood in the water. Filtration is an AC70 and a Filstar XP4.

Tankmates are 4 boesmani rainbows, 2 bala sharks, 1 Jack dempsey, 1 L200, 4 clown loaches and 1 featherfin syno. The featherfin is the newest addition, I did not quarantine as I had no extra tank. The sickness has started since getting the catfish. The catfish was added on May 24th. It has been at least two weeks since I noticed the problem with the eartheater. I have been checking everyone and I see no signs of this on the other fish.
The syno iteslf though scratches on everything in the tank, with no visible ich. Another reason I salted.

Here is a video showing his eye. You can also see the light spot on the tail and at the base of the right pectoral fin. I plan to quarantine him as soon as I can, I'm waiting for my hubby to re-seal a tank and then I have some switching to do and he will be in a ten by himself.
Help please! I don't know what to treat him with as I don't know what it is!

Fungal infection... That's my only guess. I've never experienced a fungal infection so I don't know how fast they kill. But you might want to start treatment for that soon at least.
You'll also probably want to treat the whole tank, I think fungal infections are contagious.

I thought it was on the outside. It could still be... I don't know, all I can say is keep a close eye on him for a couple days and report back anything unusual.

ive never seen anything like that before, get him out asap tho just incase he spreads it, try salt and raiseing the temp. in the tank it might help but other than that im sorry to say i have no clue, keep us posted

Could it possibly be a parasite like flukes?
I read this,
http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/fish_diseases/eyes.html
E. The entire eye becomes cloudy from the inside out

Could be a parasite, i.e., flukes

Check the tank for parasites. If found, treat the entire tank with De-Los. The fish may lose it's eye.

The fish have a Gram Negative Bacterial infection

Isolate the fish and treat with Gentamycin.
Should I try using this on the whole tank? It makes sense as the Featherfin Catfish that is the most recent addition has been scratching itself on everything. This is the only local source of the potassium permanganate that I could find.

Well if it is a fungus, what would I treat it with? I'm a total noob when it comes to this, so I am totally in the dark here.

How about Jungle Labs Lifeguard Remedy
It seems to treat everything, fungus, parasites etc. Is this good or bad?

Lifeguard is a broad-spectrum, non-antibiotic agent that treats the clinical signs of disease at their earliest stages in freshwater fish. Added to your aquarium water, the powerful oxidizing action of HaloShield attacks and destroys disease-causing microorganisms. You don’t have to be a fish expert to use Lifeguard. With this all-in-one treatment, there’s no need for time-consuming guesswork. Each pre-measured dose treats infectious ailments such as fungus, ick, red streaks, milky or shedding slime, flukes, bacterial gill disease, mouth and fin rot, clamped or torn fins, and ulcers. May be used as a preventive when adding new fish.
