I'm not sure what the water read exactly ... i had my LFS (http://www.aquariumadventure.com) do it and i had them suggest what to use and they said pimafix but he may not make it hes only 3.5-4in

The picture does not do it justice ... it looks real bad

i purchased him from a pet store i normally dont shop at...cause of a 5 dollar price difference now i paying the price

and thing im most worried about it that he hasnt eaten in about 8 days

have Salt and Pimafix in the tank now

in 3 days i will do a 50% water change...add more salt and more pimafix and repeat til he gets better unless any has better ideas...

tank is 20 gallon Long with 40 gallon Tetra HOB filter...had to remove media since it had carbon in it, thats why im doing 50% changes

You really need to get the numbers on your water parameters. Loss of appetite is often caused by poor water quality. You might have to make them tell you the numbers they're getting on the tests.

ok well ill try it again haha

maybe ill just buy my own kit all this running to the store is killing me

I think everyone should own their own kits, anyway. It just seems that most LFS employees like to tell you their subjective opinion and then sell you something, rather than just tell you the numbers. Like, in your case, he got to sell you some melafix. And you still don't know what the numbers were.

i had the same problem i have 2 jds with mine and they get ballsy sometimes even tho the oscar is like ten time there size but hes fine now i think he had clout anyway
