i thought melafix was for bacterial infection, i did put a new fish in at one time and got white spot must have got chilled on way home and warmed him up a bit fast i got white spot next day only the new 1 and the pikes got it ,i have 20 fish or so, so i turned up the temp to 32 all the spots went and i should have left it 3 days from the last white spot went i left it 1and half and got 2 odd spots back on the pike so i put temp up to 33 and left it 3 days after last spot and was all ok no 1 seamed stressed in all this, flashing a bit but thats it a bit more active may be ,so at the same time the tank was bedding in and lots of leaching so lots going on at the same time i added more salt as well.so it was probably stress may be.
