Perhaps old news for many but this is one of the most exciting and beautiful videos I have ever seen. Judging from so few views, not many have seen it. Tony is fantastic.

If I understood correctly, this is one in a series as Tony kept track of this pike for a long time, from small to adult. There are other vids on his site and YouTube dedicated to Sid.

Rob, it is ok that you moved the thread. Clearly, it is getting much better attention here. I would have posted it here too but had thought that the work of such beauty and magnitude and inspiration deserved the widest audience possible.

This is amazing! But I really would like to know where those perch are at, those would be so fun to catch through the ice. Also tasty too :evil_lol:
 
I think those particular ones are in Sweden but this perch inhabits a huge chunk of EuroAsia.

IMO, they are tasty but bony.
