Sign Petition For September Raffle

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well if we want to keep things free.....I'd say a wet dry is out. They're pretty expensive compared to most pike species. I'm dissapointed but in a way that the chinese perch died prior to shipment because I ended having to give up my 120 shortly after winning the raffle and was still thinking of how I would house them later. There are some really hot things out there that would be great, cheaper than a wet/dry (unless diy), and more people would be able to enter. I'd have to say that shipping a few or even just one small fish is easier than a couple big ones. When its free.....its cool enough to win if it's a 25 cent fish(exagerated). I want a cobra pike!!!!!

wet dry's arent that expensive. You could buy 2-3 wet-drys on ebay with the price of the Datnoid or Scats on the raffle.

Ok, again.....a Dat gets abso-fu*king-lutely huge.....housing issue. Next I restate that a 10, 20, or probably up to a 50$ pike will be cheaper than a wet dry. I don't know the e-bay prices though since I'm not much of an e-bay person. Wasn't dousing the wet-dry idea but it's easier to keep things free and often free when the donation value is smaller.

The question is, does the majority want pikes or wet dry for that matter ? cmon guys, lets hear you out !

I don't think the majority really has a say in what the raffle is...Neo and them decide what it is and thats that...end of subject. I'm sure there are tons of people here who could give a crap about this months raffle, or the last one. Can't really go on the majority....otherwise we would never be able to decide. If this next raffle isn't free I'm still in, I'm more than willin to help support the costs!!

I am cool with anything but I would like to see some of the international members get a chance at winning. Singapore guys get a fricking Asian Arowana.

I agree with you on that 100%. Like I said before, I cannot house a dat or 6 Chinese perch and I am sure not a lot of other members can. A smaller fish would work a lot better. Not something tiny but maybe a smaller species just over or under a foot. Some of the fancy plecos would be nice. Maybe an Exodon (I have never actually seen one of them) or nandus species.

Eqipment would also be nice. Maybe a huge canister of quality fish food, a series of books or something along those lines.

In the end, these free raffels are great and I think its awsome they do this. I don't want to sound like I am complaining because I am not, only throwing ideas out there.

I think a nice wet/dry (americle seems to be the hot ticket) and overflow combo with pump and misc sponges would be tight. Hell, the dat in this raffle is valued at over $500. A nice sized wet/dry with all the fixins would be great. Hell, I don't think money raffles would bea bad idea. I wouldn't mind spending $5-$10 once a month for a shot to win something I need. Believe me, I need filtraton and a 180g. Make it happen guys!
