silicon, a little help please

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Naw, I think it'll be okay. It sounds like they just did a leak repair and nothing more. But I would go ahead and do that tester fish thing. If it emerges unharmed it could be a great pet! I have a former feeder comet goldfish as a pet whom now I'm quite fond of.

Don't worry about it. They come in black for asthetics reasons. Perfectly safe.

Alrighty, I've emptied the tank and am building a stand for it now, I have absolutly no room for it but i can always sleep outside in a tent or something. Nah i'll find somewhere, i always do. it's sort of an akward shape, but it's just what i've wanted, so finding a good hood would be extremly tough, and im gonna build a custom one of those too. i got my work cut out, cant wait.

We've used black silicone in fish tanks at the zoo, it's has a different texture when wet than clear, but it works just fine. I'd keep a close eye on the patchwork, usually its better to remove the old silicone before applying new, but if it holds water now, I'd say there's good chance everything will be fine.
I think All-Glass is calling their black siliconed tanks "Black Seals".
