Silicone question

Im not good with the names, but i say stick with the clear stuff. Thats what ive been using...

I have used GE 1 & 2 with and without mold inhibitor. Both works great and never lost any fish "mysteriously".

+1 . I have used both with no problems. If you have access to GE I clear way not just use that?

^^ NO MAN DONT! whatever you use MAKE SURE 100% its safe for aquariums, call up the manufacturer if necessary!

Im still in the process of removing my ENTIRE new seal..since the silicone i used was not for aquariums... im on a break from it now, fingers are hurting, gonna go back in a bit! LOL

I have used both ge1 and ge II on a bunch of different project and has allways worked great. Including on a fix job on a 240. Need the ge II tubes that say 100% percent silicone used to be in a white tube with blue lettering hope that helps. Allso color doesnt affect anything i have used the clear, black, and brown. I actually just used the brown on my wet dry a few months ago. The only problem with these kinds of silicone instead of aquiruim silcone is that the seal doesnt last as long.
