Silicone still smells of vinegar and its been 2 weeks

So i used some marineland brand aquarium silicone to silicone some glass together for support - a two inch by 10 inch piece sandwiched to another larger flat plane of glass. i applied a good amount of silicone, and it seems like its dry for the most part, but the smell of vinegar is still there two weeks later if i press my nose up against the seam.

Is it just the inside silicone still curing because the outside dried faster causing a vapor lock or something?

Will the inside silicone ever cure?

I applied new silicone over older silicone while i did it as well, can this have an effect?

Just give it time man the 48 hour cure time line given to u is only for a normal amount not a huge glob but it will cure and the smell will go away.

Silicone takes quite a while to fully cure, sometimes two weeks or more. If it is especially thick it is possible it will never cure fully since silicone dries from the outside in.
