Silurus glanis...overdue upgrade

wow., so cool. how big do you plan or think it can get in captivity? I wonder if these things can out live a human in the right condition. Now makes me want to grow out a super cat too...
always flattered when ur impressed Wes! This specimen brings me very much joy...cant thank you enough for bringing them to the u.s.
... so far hes grown a steady 12" a year since u sent him to me in 2012...i hope to move him again soon into a 14'x8'x4' 3,000 gallon im working on and i believe he should hit somewhere around 6-8' in there no problem. I agree he could outlive me in the right conditions and surpass 6-8' no problem in a big enough enclosure... hands down the best cat ive ever kept in all my years. super personable, active, and almost always up off the ground cruising open water until i feed him. no need for any tank mates with this guy, hes entertaining enough on his own
i agree Liam...pics just dont do him justice... im technologically backward tho.... ill have to figure out how to do it. I missed the computer generation by a couple yrs. lol...
heres his new home under construction, many of you guys have seen i know lol... been too busy slaving away working for a coral importer to finish my own projects at home... too many coral trade show trips on weekends and endless days maintaining 42 tanks for someone else as livestock manager...very depressing lol...
and....this is where it goes in my house...almost there...many yrs in the making so far. worst case scenario theres a "community" 1400gal. far left of the last pic the wels can play in until his tank is complete. i hope/plan to keep him alone tho.
