Silver agresion

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tank is 6x4x2 only him and the ray and birchir in it. Hes not bothered since that day so maybe put it down to him in a bad mood lol

My 6" silver aro "Prince" will dart at my 3 full-size Silver Dollars, but they move away quickly. It's always around the 8th hour + since the aro has been fed last. He eats twice a day. I feel like if I don't feed him when he wants he is going to bite one of the silver dollars. I feel bad for my silver dollars because they are peaceful fish and have been in that tank for 2+ years. Maybe it's just territory.

Also, some times the Aro will go to the bottom of the tank and drag his belly along the gravel.

Many people always said silver aros are less aggrassive, but both of my silver aros are not...I think this might depend on the fish's individual characteristic, ways of feeding and keeping environments.

One of my silver aro (20+inches) is quite aggrassive, he always fight with my RTG (18+inches) and both of them always got torn fins and drop scales.

My another small silver aro (9+inches) is also quite aggrasive too, always attack my black aro which is 12 inches long.

Ehhh my silver is not aggressive, but he makes it a point to nip at newcomers. And they end up good friends in the end.

Never bothers my bichirs, never bother my gar and mind its own business
