about 5 months ago I purchased a baby silver arowana only about 2-3 inches big, but now hes about 6 inches big and I thinks its time I take him outa my 20 gal community tank and put him in larger tank. How big a tank do you think I should get? Also, how do I put pictures up so everyone can see them?

You will need a very large tank for a fully grown Silver Arowana I am talking at least 200 gallons.
put him in a 75 gallon minimum. in about one year he will need to be in a 180, and then a tank 8 feet long by 3 feet by three feet
As big as you can get. It will be expensive, but cheaper then upgrading a lot. I think that about a 125 is the smallest you would want to go, but you wouldn't have a happy fish. They will get up to 3'.
Id say Upgrade to a 180Wide or or a 240Long so you can keep him for awhile. 1 Big upgrade will be alot easier an cheaper in the long run, Plus you wont have a whole bunch a empty tanks from constant upgrading.
Sounds like an expensive solution. But the idea of getting a 300+ gallon tank is best bet. If I can go back in time, I wiould just buy a 1500 gallon tank. Use my 300 gallon as the sump, and keep all the fishies I've always wanted. Not so big. No arapaimas, no parron sharks, no alligator gars. Just the ones that hit the 2 foot mark, i.e. peacock bass, Datnoids, Arowanas, Congicus and Endlicheri bichirs. And a big gigantic pleco.I'm Dreaming.
my silver is in a 75g. i got him in sept at 6" he is quickly outgrowing the tank. i'll be setting up a 150G this weekend and after he grows out of that in a few more months theres a nice 300g waiting for him. check out the post on the photo lounge on how to post pics. follow it step by step.
