will a silver arowana be ok in a 240gal with a motoro string ray?, i will get the motoro of the size of my hand, a little bit bigger tomorrow or next week. And the aro is a young one of 15cm-20cm long.

You'll no doubt get a lot of conflicting responces to this one but in my opinion you should be fine.

Not sure what you think, but I had 2 silver arowanas go from 2 and 3" to 24" in 1 year.

so i would get something bigger than 2ft wide, what dimensions are the tank?

they will get full grown in there it will be nice

a full grown arowana can reach 4 feet in the wild, and no doubt an easy 3' in aquaria if you consider my arowanas getting 2' in 1 year. immagine how big they would get if i still had them.

the average growth rate is between 1-2" per month depending on food and water quality. they normmaly slow down around 18". So you would be fine for about a year. But imo a silver arowana shouldn't be put in anything less than 3ft.
