Silver aro price rise, any one notice.

Has anybody been noticeing a price rise in silver aros? Cause around here the prices of them has steadily been going up over the past 6 months.

3incher use to be $8-$14 now they have gone up to about $25-$30.

12incher use to be about $20-$30 and have gone up to $65-$70.

16incher and bigger use to be about $45 and are now $100 or over.

Has anybody else noticed a price rise in silver aros where you live?

in here it depends on the LFS. some LFS sells unussualy higher.
but based on LFS prices they seem steady.

They use to be steady here too. All the LFS have them about the same price. But I have just noticed a steady increase in price over time.

thats actually better there.7 inches here were always 50$

Look at everything else you shop for. Everything is going up. As gas prices increase, so does the cost of shipping ANYTHING.

Good point, never really thought of that. I only just noticed it on the silver aros the other day, but not really any of the other fish.

Tanks I know though have been going up due to gas prices. Just never took to much into consideration about fish though.

There were some silvers at my lfs, they were about 5". My LFS was offering them for $5 each about a month ago. Now they want $30 for a 5" silver.

I noticed the same trend here in Hawaii. The silvers used to be cheaper than jardinis. Now its the other way around.

damn...it's still cheaper there than it is here...the lowest i've seen a silver here is about $20 for about a 2" w/ the egg sac still attached. If they make it to about 3" the price increases to $50+ and $100+for 6"+. I saw one about 2 weeks ago that was maybe 8-10" that was $200...
