Silver aro price rise, any one notice.

ballpark - 30$-50$ CDN for a silver 3" or so

LOL, man the price for everything is rocketting! aros are getting more and more popular, not to mention the rising maintenance costs for tropical fish farms, breeding expenses, LFS operations, etc.

i guess it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this one out......

I just bought a small one 3-4" for $29.99 last month.

Luckily the prices at my LFS's have stayed pretty even, still about $15 for a 5" Silver. I've noticed a larger increase in the price of Asian imports, CK's have doubled since June.

Look at everything else you shop for. Everything is going up. As gas prices increase, so does the cost of shipping ANYTHING.

they have become more and more expensive in the uk silvers have more or less doubled at retail price for a 4-6 inch specimen..

I've noticed the same trend here in IL. The cheapest aro I can find anywhere is $20 for a yolk sack or one that just lost it. I'd say $30-60 is more common. Anything larger than 5" is $100+. Like rottbo said though, the should come back in to season soon.

I have noticed that there have been alot of fish going down in price but the silver is going way up but they are still gone within like 2-3 days of beign at the LFS everytime.
