Silver aro trouble

Having a problem with my aro and tank mates. He was in with a tigershovel nose catfish but I had to take him out because he was getting beat on by my silver. The cat was about 16 inches. So I replaced him with a indo dat about 8 inches. Aro frikin hates him wont let him swim around and every time he does he goes for him. Do I have the only aggressive silver in the world lol the IT has been in there about a week. Will it get better with time.

na definently not the most aggresive. Mine on the other hand was calm and chill, if your feeding him feeders i would layback on them.
 
Nope never fed him feeder shrimp mussels and cichlid gold as a staple. I mean my tank is only a 5x2x2 but he doesnt look huge in it. I have just bought a 6x2x2 for him off eBay for cheap.

Don't Silvers still need a larger tank than that? I have a 6' x 2' x 30" and was told its a bad idea to put a Jar in it.

Yes they do and I will upgrade in a year or two depending on how much more he grows. I think the jar would be ok in that size of a tank. I mean its not as if u could keep anything with it lol. I will probably go with 8x2.5x2.5 for life for a silver. I know my tank is a wee bit small but hes healthy n my water is pristine. Here he is hes beautiful uploadfromtaptalk1352412322663.jpg

Silvers are agressive fish.

The rarity is a mellow silver.


In my experience, and irrespective of what i see in asian tanks, silvers do not like dats.
