You talking width or length? I can make it longer but I can't go much wider as the area is only 10ft wide and we move motorcycles through there(not running) tabel saws and sometimes four wheelers, so we would still need to get around them.
totally disagree with others. Silver Arowana can grow more then 2' thats true, but it will not grow that big if you have a 100 gal tank. but the good news is your fish will never ever die because of your smaller tank size (100 gal) as far as you are maintaining good water condition. your fish may be grow up to 16 or 18 inc and then stop growing (obviously the growth rate will be slower). plzz feedback
it will die! even if you can give it a lake to live, it will die, no one live forever! the aro can live in a small tank like that but it will never be happy and it will injure itself eventually. I've seen people grow an aro from 5'' to 30'' in a 55 gallon and it still alive, but the fish sure not happy!may b u are misunderstanding something. the thing is, growth of fishes doesn't actually depend on the tank size (more or less everyone knows it). It depends more on water condition. It is really possible to grow arowana even more than 24 inch in a 100 gal tank.. but the main thing is to maintaining the water condition. smaller your tank is means harder to maintain the water condition >>> that actually means you are more likely to have a less growth to your arowana because of average water condition. thats what i mean.
I actually disagree with the point that a silver arowana of 12inch can not live in a 100 gal tank long enough. I have kept two 12inch arows in my 56 gal tank for 8 months reaching them 17 inch size (obviously I was not bale to give then the water condition that they deserve). This was happned because i had to live 9 month outside of my home. And I carried those 2 fishes wid me where my room was too small and have no way to give them a big aquarium. So, the point I want to make is that his arowana will never die if he keeps it in a 100 gal tank. growth will be depend on the water condition and the quality of the food.
And another thing, I am not misinformed but maybe I am still inexperience because, it is only over 8 years that I'm with this beautiful fishes.![]()

It is always great to have a arowana in a big tank lyk over 200 gal. But that does not mean that you have to give up with this beautiful fishes if you don't have that big tank. When possible make a new tank.
