Could you let us know what you feed it?

How long have you had it? From what size?

The fish only eats Hikari Carnivore pellets. It doesn't touch any frozen food (but will chase after feeders).

I've had it for about two months after waiting to find one without drop eyes. Got a great deal too!

Nice....I just recently pickup up 2 5"-6" wild caught.....I have been also feeding just hikari sticks to one, and frozen to the second....

I would like to see the difference in them at a few months.....

It's now been 1 month....both sitting at approx 8" and still no sign of drop eye on either..

Someone suggested the cause of drop eyes on AP to head/eye damages from ramming/hitting glasswall/top. To me, that is the most plausible speculation I've come across so far. In fact, my last silver developed an ugly drop eye when my tank became infested with green algae and the fish spent almost two weeks rubbing its eye on the glass wall.
