Hi guys . This is my first post . I have a 250g tank which houses a 11" silver arrow and two red albino oscars of about 6" . Have 3 pairs of silver dollars of 2" size. Water parameters are normal . But my aro skin is damaged and can clearly see a red cut on its body since yesterday . Oscars do not go behind arowana chasing all time, it is just when they face off oscar hits on aro body which i thought as mouthing . I have never witnessed any scale flying off during this process . Arowana is feeding and moving around well . Please help

You will need to remove the Aro if it gets constantly bashed by the Oscar it will become weak, stressed and probably not survive.

Thank a lot for the reply. Well he is not constantly being bashed . Hardly twice in a day . Any other remedy other than to separate them ?

Is the Oscar doing this when Aro swims near the area of the Oscar's. Do you notice a tight bond between the 2 Oscar's.

Keep observing the behavior of both the Aro and Oscar. If it just a simple nudge once in awhile ok but if Aro starts to show affects on its body then move Aro asap.

Actually both oscar fight a lot among themselves . There is one oscar which is very dominant than the other, there is no fixed territory marked as such . Oscar just randomly hits arowana when it passes by its side and arowana does nt seem to worry but the fact is there is a red cut on his body which I am a bit worried about . Aro is not restricted to a corner neither does oscar chase it

For the same matter i brought silver dollars . And most of the time oscars are occupied chasing them . And in this big 250g they can't get a hold of silver dollar. Most of the time aro is on the top with silvers n oscars being in the bottom . But wen they face off, oscar just randomly hits it. This occurs may be like twice or thrice a day . Should i take out oscars ? Because i really want my aro to be in this tank . Need any other remedy if there is one because i have spent a lot on the setup and want them to be together
