was he jumping for a reason?did you startle him or anything like that. aros jump naturally and of course in the wild they dony have invisible barriers(glass)when i was a teenager i had 3 aros jump out of covered tanks. one broke the glass lid on my 125,so ive learned to make their habitat more natural with floating plants and places they can hide(very shy)no more accidents.now i have 3 healthy aros 32"-18"-12" all doing well.imo if he eats and swims around ok then he will be fine. gl and nice looking fish.

the lights were off and i approched the tank thats the best i remember when the jumping happened

must have startled him
mine gets startled everytime my jar sees me coming to the room from the stairs but fortunately he doesn't jump but runs to the other end of the tank and hides beside the power head

always try to remember that its the fish house and we just visit. they are the ones that are in the living room, dining room, etc.24/7. we are the ones that visit and we must respect that as keepers.we are the monsters entering there domain. kinda funny but healthy for your fish if you think of it that way.i try to enter my fish tank room with plenty of warning ,then they know im coming. good luck and hope your aro gets well soon.
