Silver Arowana cost?

i caught my lfs on a 25% off day and paid $45. he was marked $60. that was at about 5 inches or so

That is actually a fair to good price for around here. I'm more used to seeing 3 to 4 inchers around here for that price. Never seen one in an LFS for less than $50. At that size, usually closer to $100. I've seen them in RI LFS's for around 20-30, though. Your not too far from there, either...Pick up some RBP's while your there...JK.:grinno:
 
$73 for a 6 inch Silver is high in my opinion. Silvers are the most common and easiest to get. I see them @ 10 – 12 inches and sometimes bigger for about that same price here in southern California.
 
Sorry man.. but i would not get that arowana, NOT for $70 anyways..

I got my 6" for about $20 bucks 3 months back..

their currently priced at $25 bucks for a 6-8" and $35 for a 9"+ Arowana..
but this is Cali.. and somehow prices here are way cheaper than normal...

I do agree some someone who said look for Asian community.. Not sure if there are any in CT.. but Silver arowana's at 6" are not worth $70 bucks...

I'd suggest going to New York or Jersey.. theres bound to be good prices out there..

i got my 4" wild caught for $15 from rich, think he still has some...
