ok! thank you for all the answers!! know i just have to find a arowana to a god price:drool:

so you are looking for a god price go for the most expensive asian you can find

i have tried keeping an angel fish with silver arowana. not good. but it depends on the aro personality. some people here said that discus and silvers come the same environment, and therefore should be alright. well, angelfishes and silver aros come from the same environment too.

It has nothing to do with them coming from the same environment. More to do with tank size, fish size, fish keeping ability and some luck.

BTW I have an angelfish current living with my two 28" silvers and 20" black aro:D

They actually come from the same area of the world and actually should do alright together. The arowana are not really main fish eaters in the wild, and prefer to take down things from the surface, though they will go for smaller fish. The discus get to a good size and I think they should be fine. They generally are not big enough to fit in the arowana's mouth as adult sizes.
Unless someone else can tell me I am wrong..

You are right with the exception of an unusually large aro. Seen specimens in public aquaria that could gulp an 8" discus no problem.
