Silver Arowana NOT EATING

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
have you seen both aro's eating food sticks? it's possible the one that is "struggling" just doesn't like the taste and is spitting them out. post a video, it may help identify the problem.

your other problem is not a minor one - one of them is getting beaten on, and it will only get worse, until it dies. stress is not a great motivator for eating.
Okay good idea I'll record the next time I try to feed the "struggling" one. It's important to note that the other aro is having no problem with eating the sticks so it shouldn't have anything to do with the water chemistry

Fish can eat while they are in very poor water. There are threads posted nearly every day by someone with fish that are eating while living in water with ammonia, nitrites and excessive nitrates.

While I agree with others that stress or simply not liking the food is the problem, there's no way to know the quality of water by any means other than testing it.
