Silver aro growth does not slow after 14". Glad to see the previous info I gave you was put to good use :screwy:

Yes it did lol and they do normally stop at 14" when in smaller tanks (150 or less), I know that for a fact. I figured that they all just slowed down after that but it must just be stunted. Well still, I hope to get a few years out of this 200 lol but if not then oh well, no harm done

Upload your photos on photobucket(this is what I use but there are many other servers) then you can post photos.

Thanks. I'll try that when I get the time to mess with it

And how do you no this for a fact? Piss poor research will give you info such as this, then again you did keep an silver in a ten gallon, right? Polling silver aro owners here on MFK would give you true life experiences and show you how far of you really are.

Yes I kept one in a ten gallon a long time ago, worst mistake I ever made in the aquarium world. That was before I even knew how to pronouce arowana, just a big impulse buy is all it was, and hey I'm sure everyone here has had one of those before at one time or another, but I probably have the record for the dumbest one ill admit lol. And I know that for a fact because everytime I see one in that size tank it's always 14-15" and it never seems to grow any bigger then that. Not for weeks or months or even years. I've seen maybe 20 tanks like that in the houston area so i figured they mist just slow down at that point, but now clearly I see it's just horrible stunting. And like I said, I'll be able to upgrade anytime it's needed anyways so that's not something I need to worry about

Not research, just judgment. But it's no reason to be rude. This is how we learn things, and all of us here are still learning. No one here knows it all. I'm here strictly to share the things I love and to learn. So really would you rather continue to reply rudely and have this turn into a massive debate or would you rather just say glad to help a fellow fishkeeper and move on? I mean come on

Exactly, this is the problem. Way too many people post mis-information as fact. Instead of doing proper research to back up what they "figured". Mis-information is a virus, be responsible a do your part to stop it. Otherwise your helping no one.

This is known as stunting, and it's not a good thing.
