You have to respect convicts. They're hard to kill and great parents. Unfortunately 3 inch aros are easy to kill. As I recently learned. Babies eat different than adults and are much more fragile. Just because they eat something doesn't make it good for them. I'm not having luck with FD food. Igor eats baby crickets and flakes. Some other small bugs I've caught with a net seem to agree with him. he's now ttwo weeks in his new home and 3+ inches. I seem to be much better at killing these wonderfl fish than keeping them, but this one is doing quite well.
An aro till 4inches is the most fragile. At 4 inches and above; the vital organs are fully developed and they get stronger with good care. So exwp is right, an Aro at 3 inches is easy to kill.
