I've posted this fellow before, haha. We adore him but he could really use a better home - only my mother's taking care of him because the whole rest of the family is at college/at work in other states/countries... and she's scared of him.

22" Silver Arowana, healthy and active, loves his pellets and the occasional frozen prawn or fish. He does have dropeye in one eye, and is blind in the other - sometimes misses his food, but usually gets it later. Not very aggressive (lives with a JD, syno cat, and 2 severums) but still an arowana. He loves to splash at dinnertime.

We want him to have a good home, that's all! I'd be interested in trading or even throwing the Jack Dempsey in if anyone's interested. My mom wants a nice peaceful community tank, haha.

Would you be willing to meet up around Shark aquarium ? Planning on taking a trip there on or around tuesday?

If only you weren't at the opposite end of the country..

Haha, thanks for all the support.

It's more that he tries to jump for the food whenever you open the lid, hence my mother thinking its terrifying.

Tskstorm, tell me about your tank? I'm not too far from shark, but I've never caught/transported a large fish, not sure what the best way to do that is anyhow. If you could pick up, it'd be a godsend. Haha.

i've transported big guys like this before, just buy a 30 gal plastic bin and lid at kmart for about 10 bucks, and a pillow case (to catch the fish with-it won't mess up fins like nets will) then the fun part is to coax him into the pillow case and you should be golden!!! :)
my large arow looked exactly like him, ahh memories lol
