Hey taylor.. Like everyone above i'd agree on the 75g tank for now and keep him alone.. at 4 inches aros are pretty fragile.. I'd recommend feeder guppies and blood worms for now.. Did you by any chance check with the lfs as to what he was being fed? you could start pellets a little later or just break em up into smaller pieces and let it float around.. as for him not eating. he is getting adjusted to the tank.. give him the time.. and if you have tank lights jus switch it off but leave a room light on at night time.. all the best with the aro.. cheers :) and oh dont try any wild caught stuff even if quarantined.. better safe than sorry..

Yeah I asked the place problem is I bought him 3 mins after they got him. So let me make sure I am doing this right put him in the 75 by himself when he's 4 inches. I'll post pics Saturday. I just started classes again at the university
Of Texas and I'm busy as hell

Also I have a question about this forum as well, how do I add a sig and change my avatar.

When my silver was that small (only around 3 months ago) he is now close to 10 inches (they grow real fast) all he would eat are freeze dried plankton. He still does but now eats larger Krill as well. Be prepared to have a monster in no time!

Yeah im excited about having a massive fish. I used to have a 55LB Blue catfish in my 300 at my parents house. That was a monster catfish.

Update. Thanks for the help guys. Moved him to the 75 today and he was eating everything in sight. Thanks again for all the input, this forum is super helpful. Also do Lfs ever buy holy rock or atleast give store credit for it.

maybe consider that the other fish are stressing it out.
personally growing out a silver aro, i usually put them with reasonably harmless fish.
fish that he picks on rather than the possibility of other fish picking on IT.

if its not eating, it could be that you have not blacked out back and sides of tank, try that.
also, dim lights, is it in an area with high foot traffic?
i reckon take out other fish that may be scaring it.
