Silver Arowana Tank Mates

What about a tire track eel? Or some "eel" species?
 
I think im gonna get some fish today. Ill make sure and post pics asap =)
 
Catfish, Peacock bass, or both. Always my favorite combo! But as always these fish all get big so it's something to keep in mind.
 
bgk's don't nip. other suggested tank mates for me would be bichirs.

Anything large enough to avoid being eaten that isn't aggressive will work fine. Tire track and/or fire eels make perfect tankmates for them, I have a 16" tire track with my 24" silver aro in my 220 gallon, and they get along fine. Some catfish will work, although just suggesting "catfish" as tankmates is not specific enough. There are many species that would make good tankmates for an aro, but there are also many that wouldn't. I would recommend that before going out and buying any of these fish, you do plenty of research on them and make sure you are able to care for them first.
 
I think im going to end up getting some kind of eel or bichir. I really like the fire eels but i know they get larger than tire tracks. I really like the peacock bass as well but i know they get very large(Not that my aro wont) lol Thanks for all the help.

just letting you know.. i have a 21" silver with 2 5"vail angels, 2 retic rays, a 12"bgk, a 14" id shark, a 10" tsn, a 15" gator gar, 9"leopard pleco, 9"sailfin pleco,
 
Yeah my LFS gets lima in for like $12. And also clown knifes for $14. I got my silver there for $20 i think. They are very healthy fish as well. They also have tire tracks and everything for very reasonable prices.
