Silver Arowana With Yolk Sack

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very difficult and not advisable, from everything i have observed in over twenty years of aros..

Never tried, though....

I saw one a few last week and was tempted to get one, they were 16 bucks. If you were already planning on getting a arowana I will get one with a sack attached. It will be cool to see it grow even take pictures and start a growout thread. You should probably keep it solo until the egg sack is gone.

Wait for it to loose the sack in the lfa.

My only tip.

And see it eating before you bring it home. Not wanting to rain on your parade, but that is how it is.

very hard to keep them alive. They are in their valnuarable stage. I would only buy baby aros that don't have egg sacks on their stomach.

Honestly my first Aro i got was with his yolk and was the only one i owned to stay alive but also on that note the tank was at my house and i could monitor it quite often. It odds pretty cool to watch them grow if giving the chance i wouldn't hesitate to buy it with the sack just be very careful and detailed with water quality he ended up dieing during a hurricane that knocked out the power for two weeks

That's just my personal experience but idk these guys maybe right but my first was the easiest for me to keep but i was probably alot more careful and cautious

whats your biggest tank? from your threads, dont think you have any tanks big enough for an aro... they require a 180 min full grown with a 220 to 300 being way better.. my only tip. dont get one..

A 180g is too small for a full grown silver arowana.
