when very young, it's good to get them eating whatever they will eat. helps to start them on small crickets/mealworms. they love livefood. wait till the aro is 8"+ to start on pellets usually. just keep them eating is the best at this point.

Personally I would not feed anything else other then freeze dried bloodworms or broken pellets. Once it takes the pellets, you can stop feeding the freeze dried bloodworms. Found that large hikari cichlid gold pellets broken into smaller pieces works better then the small pellets. Feed the pellet and bloodworms at the same time.
yah i agree thats a fair price...you should be able to get him off live food with no problem..ive really never had a problem switching arows to different kinds of food
