Hi my arowanas are avoiding dried mealworms in their menu.. they were fed on dried shrimps and live feeds say prawns and shrimps.I just read that mealworms also do good for arowanas and I thought of giving it a try and bought a pack. But it's exactly opposite as my arowanas not even touching the feed... I fasted them for nearly 2 days but still they are not interested and waiting for their regular feed. But I wanna get them into this feed .Please help .Thanks

Just give them more time and toss them in every once in awhile.

Yeah am doing the same but no success ..they were starving .Am very much afraid that they would start to fight with no feed offered.

Don’t be afraid. 2 days isn’t very long. And if they fight I doubt they’ll kill anyone in a day or two. Training aros just takes time and patience. Sometimes you get lucky and it happens in a week. Sometimes not so lucky it takes a few months to get it done right. It all depends on how long the fish has been eating a specific food.

For example a fish that has eaten pellets for 2-3 years straight with no other foods being offered might not eat other foods. I’ve had aros that refused frozen foods and live foods but would eat pellets all day. And I’ve had aros that would eat nothing but meal worms because they ate Live worms for 6 months straight. Took me a month to get them on frozen.

Are they fighting? Are they swimming funny? If they aren’t acting different I don’t see any reason for you to be afraid. I’ve had rough work weeks where I wouldn’t be home for 4 days straight and my fish are fine.
