SILVER ASIAN AROWANA

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just fed him frozen bloodworms. He will not go for the ones that sink but he ate everything that stay at the top floating. I’m having trouble with me ornate he can’t seem to find the food that sunk to the bottom of the tank. He actually swam by some at the top but didn’t eat it.
best to feed aros floating pellets, just make sure to remove uneaten foods as they can upset your water quality, with the bichir maybe hes not hungry? fish can last awhile with out eating, to get picky fish onto pellets they can be starved until they learn to eat the pellets. Other then the bichir not eating i cant help sorry, ive never had the pleasure of owning one yet, they are quite expensive is Australia.....

I was thinking that the dealer mislabeled the fish.....and was hoping he didn't lie to you about what kind of species it was.
No, I mislabeled the thread. My fish store has black, sb silver, albino, arapaimas, and African aros but not in juvenile. So I decided to go with the silver aro.

I’m going to buy pellet food for the fish. I only had frozen bloodworms/brine shrimp. Thanks for the advice.

The silver is as good a choice as any to start off with.

Pellets are a lot easier to do, and a box will last probably 6 month as he is still quite small.

I’ll buy tomorrow. It seems like the aro only went for the food that stayed afloat at the top. I have to figure something out for my bichir o_O
