Silver + australian in the same tank??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 14 inche jar and a 10 inche silver, not gonna put them together until i get a few more arowanas, my jar is attacking my pbass i think because there in a small tank but within 2 weeks I have a bigger tank ready to go. I would recomned getting a few more arowanas

Let him have his own space. It will probably grow a bit bigger to. My jardini has her own tank and it dominates it. She's quickly aproaching the two foot mark

 Since this thread is over 3 years old, if the OP actually bought a aro it would probably be bigger then yours:)

thats wut i thought too until it reaches like 8" and becomes a menace....

The guy never ruled that out. It's just that he stated that it depends on the fish's personality, which it really does. Yours just happened to be one of the aggressive ones. As I know from experience, there are no absolutes in this world, and that is one of them.

lol... this is a 3 year old but I like answering stuff so other members can read.

Actually the jars aggressiveness is kinda over rated over my lifetime I have kept 5 they had a fights but it wasn't that bad'. I would even say that Asian aros are of the equal aggressiveness.

Trust me you would not wanna make that dicision, i had my silver arowana in the same that as my jar, and my jar bloody at my silver. i was shattered.......... don;t try it man, believe me you don;t wanna wake up 6 in the morning cursing and feeling all down after you realised that your silver its no longer in the tank.
